Snow in the moutains!

Marius on top of a snow covered mountain in October, somewhere in the outskirts of Jotunheimen, Norway.

The snow has come to the mountains of Norway. Jørgen J aka doctor-J-master and Marius eiendomsmegler Flaaten have been skiing pow around the Beito-hood while Camilla aka the freeride doctor has been jibbing with the family in Hemsedal.

Powder to the... boots maybe? Look out for sharks, they have not eaten all summer.

Analen in hemsedal puts on the first layer of white makeup for the ball.

My is telling David where to put on snow to get the angle right.

And watching mama do the test jump. Switch 270 safety to rail?

Papa showing what's hot this season: no gloves and no goggles.

Chill surf weeks at the west cape

Green and glossy has been on the menu at Stadlandet.

It is back to reality; sity slickin, 9 to fives and rushtrafikk i kø med fattigfolka. Have enjoyed a couple of chill weeks in H-bay surfin, fishing, drinkin Norrlands Gold in the new greppvänliga cans and eatin Marias excellent food with Seamen, Harrolds, Spådama Anne and Max Hygge.

For the last two weeks there has been constant swell and lots of good surf all along the Norwegian coast. At Stad it's been everything from Big and clean to small and messy, but we've had fun surf almost every day. We´ve had lots of good weather and the water temperature still about 15 degrees celsius, cooking me in my psycho 6/4.

Max Hygge and me with full on Hyggecamo.

Harrolds stylin on a sloppy E-bay wave.

Sneakin another left in front of Harrolds nose.

Christian doin ollies with the Kayak in Hoddebay

Chris with his signature trick, the unstickable floater

Seamen getting closed out in E-bay.

Max Hygge on the beach while mac daddy is surfin.

After surf activities did not include so much shaping this time, but providing food on the table, or at least for the fully automatic kjøkkenbenk. After an afternoon session we cruised out in Jarrold's boat, MS Lapoint Stad I, and towed in enough makrell for a big family dinner, some well appreciated leftovers and a couple of filet gifts to kjøpmannen Otto to put in his freezer.

Capt Harrolds headin home to Maria with the evening catch.

Catching dinner in the sunset outside one of the most beutiful places on earth.

Max and Harrolds laddar kylen med guld and waiting for dinner to be ready.

Good Night Hoddevik, see you soon we hope.

Citysurf is up for a while now, but there will definitely be more waves at bigtrix.com before winter comes around.

Ribsurf at the west cape

Cruised out west to Stad and Hyggevika again to get some surf. The forecast was great and we got what we were primised when the X-trail finally rolled into H-bay. Started off with a couple of nice clean days before the big storm rolled in and started to whip up the ocean for real. When Jarrolds called up and said he had a couple fat and fast RIB’s ready to take us out in search of some new waves working in this massive swell.

We loaded up the boats with people, boards and a cam to document the mission, before pushing the pedal to the rubber and heading out. After a ride that would have been worth the whole trip alone, we found a massive ugly wave that came straight out of the ocean like an angry fist. Unfortunately it died out just as fast as it rose up, but Jarrolds and Harrold Barreld got in anyway, just to prove it was surfable. After some paddeling around in the mess both of them hit the spot and got the shortest ride of the season, but maybe the most angry takeoff with a not unsignificant drop.

The O'neil search hits the oceans of the west cape.

There it is, a fist full of water.

Paddeling the grand ocean

Harrold Barrel proves the wave is surfable, at least for a couple of seconds

Time to teg out of dodge...

Really time to get out of dodge...

Simen got the proof we needed caught on cam and we saddled up about a million hoarses again and got another epic ride back. Fast. Mission accomplished, though maybe not with the best possible results. We are ready for another RIB adventure soon, hopefully resulting in a different and better wave beeing discovered.

Downhillhyggedal

Getting some DH action in Hyggedal.

It was the last weekend of the summer season with running lifts in Hyggedal so we cruised up to go DH riding with Steffen and the others in their home made bike park. Also hooked up with Steffen, Fred Hundreogsyversen, David, Runar and many more.

Saturday, while everybody else were dressed in Bergans-tights trying to see who was best at reading the map and rapelling, we had everything to ourselves with no liftlines and no crowds. If this had been a powder day it would have been a good one... Theese are the shots:

David goin high on the Dragon wallride.

Full crew loading up on the 8-seater.

Steffen leading the way through the big wooden curve.

David on an off piste natural wallride.

The X-trail gettin some hygge too.

Runar gettin some air with rømmegrøt i magen.

I'm hoping to land the next air in Hemsemdal on snow.

Singletrack utflukt to heaven

Bendik Been on my tail at Skeikampen.

Headed up to Skeikampen in the middle of tjukkaste Norway and joined Terrengsykkel Magazine's singletrack event "utflukt". This place is singletrack mountainbiking heaven in Norway and this is the weekend where there is full on hygge and action here.

Coming down from Prestkampen, Benny, me and Snorre Son of Sverre Jensen

Surf Report: Saltstein

Tallak and Hell-Bent have been off to the Salty Rock and brought the Cannon SLR. Obviously the storm that ended the fantastic BBQ-summer down east at least brough some bumps on the ocean into the Oslofjord.

Bjørn Erik Hagen just came out of that green hole.... right?

An angry crowd of 20, at about 20 hundred hours, just before the swell peaked. Salt Rock Pipeline at its best... right?

Bentsky and Tallak gettin some of that saltstainsgourmet up in the sjæla between sessions.

Bjørn Erik again sending some of that water back where it came from.

Tronde Brudeset is bailed out by a local salt-rock-chick.

Tallak in for a white ride.

Unknown salt-rock pro throws a floater on his Brennmanet-camo board.

"We will be back!" -Tallak and Bent, somewhere in the Oslofjord.

Good summer swell and bikiniføre out west

Jonas Nilsson gettin roofed in E-bay.

We were just hit by a quick but good summer swell out here at Cabo del Vestlandet. Waves of over 2 meters were reported coming straigh at us from the west so Harrold Barreld stopped shaping, dove into his quiver, found us some boards and we headed out to Ebay for the party.

Crowded with angry locals in E-bay, harder than the Karan of Hustavika themselves.

The dirty semilocals, Ask, Frode, Jonas and some others were on the lineup already so we just jumped in and joined the party.

Harrold hoping to live up to his name and get Barreld.

Unfortunately the swell dropped just as fast as it came but luckily left enough bumps so that we could surf longbords in Hoddevik. Sided with perfect weather and good temperatures for a week it was made for the tropical beach week with work on the hang manouvers and beach volley.

Dropping but still good stuff to play around with, especially with no neo on.

Max Hygge also getting ready to catch some waves in his new O'neill wetsuit.
