Singletrack utflukt to heaven

Bendik Been on my tail at Skeikampen.

Headed up to Skeikampen in the middle of tjukkaste Norway and joined Terrengsykkel Magazine's singletrack event "utflukt". This place is singletrack mountainbiking heaven in Norway and this is the weekend where there is full on hygge and action here.

Surf Report: Saltstein

Tallak and Hell-Bent have been off to the Salty Rock and brought the Cannon SLR. Obviously the storm that ended the fantastic BBQ-summer down east at least brough some bumps on the ocean into the Oslofjord.

An angry crowd of 20, at about 20 hundred hours, just before the swell peaked. Salt Rock Pipeline at its best... right?


Bentsky and Tallak gettin some of that saltstainsgourmet up in the sjæla between sessions.

Good summer swell and bikiniføre out west

Jonas Nilsson gettin roofed in E-bay.

We were just hit by a quick but good summer swell out here at Cabo del Vestlandet. Waves of over 2 meters were reported coming straigh at us from the west so Harrold Barreld stopped shaping, dove into his quiver, found us some boards and we headed out to Ebay for the party.







Crowded with angry locals in E-bay, harder than the Karan of Hustavika themselves.

The dirty semilocals, Ask, Frode, Jonas and some others were on the lineup already so we just jumped in and joined the party.

Unfortunately the swell dropped just as fast as it came but luckily left enough bumps so that we could surf longbords in Hoddevik. Sided with perfect weather and good temperatures for a week it was made for the tropical beach week with work on the hang manouvers and beach volley.


Dropping but still good stuff to play around with, especially with no neo on.

STADSURFING IS UP!

Grew tired of summerskiing and gravemaskindriving in Stryn so we have escaped out to the west cape to get some surf and hang out on the beach with Max Hygge.



The Stryn season has not been bad this year, since The Gap decided to put up the top lift after all everything was as mexican as normal. Bjørnsomsvingen was on for weeks and the park was has been Ok until now, at least when Doggie have bothered to get up there and shape it.


Still enough snow well into the Julesteming at Strynefjellet.

More important than skiing; the MINIGRAVER has been running on full throttle every day in Stryn. What's better than a couple of beers and some digging anyway? Bjørn Inge "Hero" "Biffen" "Mr Man" "Gravemaskin Sjæf" Flo made a promise he might regret (when the minigraver braaks down) and had to deliver us his gravemaskin one Saturday morning. After demonstrating some tricks and hill climbing he game the keys to me and Henke so it was on with the fullface and full gass!

Don't underestimate the power, always use a fullface when u're a rookie on the hyggemachine.

All good things have to end thoug, both the snow and the diesel started to disappear completely so we packed the X-trail again and headed off to the Lapoint hyggehouse in Hoddevika. It's not a bad summer for surf out here this year, we've had fun waves almost every day, and there are more comin´in!

Packed up the X-trail and left Stryn and Stad for some good times at the extreme sport week, www.ekstremsportveko.com in Voss. We found a wave, sheepheads, vossabrygg. some fat bikes, lots of good people, and mucho hygge.

BULKEN: The river-wave in Voss was up and running when we came so the first days wi did not get much done except hanging on the river.

Summer is on!

It's been a good week, starting off with beachvolley, downhill, wakesurf and windsurf in Oslo, going on to limo ride summerskiing in Stryn with following 6wheeler dynamite expedition at Flo and now surfing at Stad.
